After my last post, Josh and I went to dinner together at McAlister's Deli (i love their 'spuds'), where I proceeded to break down in the parking lot crying. It was mainly due to having been to see my friend who lost her baby - and seeing photos of them holding him and crying. I just realized how fragile life is, and that every baby is amazing just because it lives.

He was very comforting and after dinner we went to Starbucks- Joe works there (yes, he's in AR and also interning at josh's company) and he gave us free coffee/tea. After that, we stopped by Barnes and Noble and looked around a bit. I've been trying to find a planner that's got both the month and week pages… and of course a pretty cover! No luck. But it was a nice evening that fulfilled my need for something to do together that is social.

On to the Happy News:

JOSH GOT A RAISE!!!

Well, it was by default. Apparently the government passed some kind of law that says if you don't pay your employees overtime pay, you can't pay them less than 23,600/yr. So everyone making under 24K at Josh's company was given a raise. He is ecstatic and is having emotions to the tune of "Our God, He Is Alive." It's a significant increase for us, and we're both looking forward to giving our tumor of a loan payment one swift kick in the A.
