It’s time I purchased a digital camera. I know, you’re wondering how I can be a graphic designer and not own one. The truth of the matter is, I use the work one when I need it, but it doesn’t allow for much personal use and I think I’m really missing out on that. It would also be a great way to spruce up the blog(s).

My ideal scenario would be to have a digital SLR like dooce’s camera, but I’m not really into the credit card debt.

The main function I’m looking for is the camera’s ability to capture the image when I push the button and not a few seconds after. Does anyone know of a decent camera with this function for a price range of like, $500 or less?
