To A Normal Person, Who Gets Advertising/Design Slang, This Should Make Perfect Sense
For a portfolio, one should consider puting interactive pieces on a CD with the TV and radio spots because:
1. You get to view the medium the way it was meant to be viewed… in action (i.e., NOT storyboard style) !
2. You don’t have to worry about low-resolution printing, which is always an issue when printing screen captures of web sites.*
4. Putting the interactive work on the CD means less laser printouts, which means less $$$.
5. The CD for TV & radio is already being produced, and you have space on it!
6. Using printouts means you are counting on the end-user to go to their browser and TYPE. IN. THE. ADDRESS, which isn’t necessary!!
Do I win the medal for having an uncanny amount of common sense when all those about me lose their heads?
Yes. Yes, I do.
* “Web site” is two words, not one, and “web” should only be capitalized when at the beginning of a sentence. Now, quotation marks around random words? I don’t care what AP style says!
