I got new glasses today. I like them, except for one thing - they're like total bottlecaps. The lady there convinced me that I didn't need to get the thin lenses-- and boy was she wrong. I haven't showed them to josh yet, but hopefully they don't show it too badly ... when my hair is down.
In other news, we're traveling to Dallas this weekend. ...
Well, Josh told his boss about Dallas, and then his boss sent a company-wide email. That meant everyone and their mother was talking about it, and since we're clients of theirs, people at my company found out, too. So I told my boss, who told the owner, who mentioned it to me in front of the elevator with a bunch of other people standing around. ...
Got home from church tonight and there was a call on the answering machine from a place I sent my portfolio samples and resume on MONDAY!!! Does this EVER happen?!
Josh accepted the offer yesterday, and he starts work Monday, April 18th. I'm sending my resume and portfolio samples to people from the DSVC site and friends I know out there, but I plan to stay in LR until I find something semi-permanent. I'm going to go throw up now.
I dropped Josh off tonight, THIRTY MINUTES before his flight left. And it wasn?t my fault! He wanted to see if the new Star Wars trailer came on during the first (heh!) commercial break of The O.C. Laughable.
Anyway, you guys should see him. He bought a new belt, got a hair cut, trimmed his sideburns and checked the internet to make sure the X-ray ...
The box I bought came in today. It's pretty sweet. Hey, B - I saw some made by the same company that are just as cool, but a little cheaper - check them out here. Now onto what goes in it...
Josh is flying to Dallas tomorrow night for what could possibly become a life changing event. I constantly feel like my stomach is in knots... My brain knows it's no big deal, but my body won't quit freaking out. Going to the doctor tomorrow to see if he can give me anything to calm down the anxiety --short of addictive tranquilizers. Does that exist?
