Praise the Lord for Limewire
So I’m late to the Limewire hype. I know this. I’ve actually known about Limewire for over three years (and Kazaa - which my husband refuses to pronounce as CUH-zaah (rhymes with “how bizzah”) and instead says “cah-zah” like the Gaza Strip.)
Why haven’t I become a Limewire junky earlier? Two reasons:
1. I have ethical issues about downloading music. I had a (hurl) dial-up connection.
2. My work had a T1, but they blocked mp3 downloads because it drug the whole system’s bandwidth down when 60 people were downloading 20 songs at a time.
I must say, it’s a far cry from the hit-or-miss FTP sites I used to scour in college (yes, Amy - that’s one reason why I was always at my computer).
