Weird Coincidences
A tree in our front yard decided to break in half and fall on our neighbor’s truck.
Then Jomo called and said a big branch landed on his car in Arkansas! All this due to winds left over from Rita.

I’m so scared that is going to happen to my tree in front of my house. The limbs are almost touching my car! You’ve inspired me to finally call the tree trimmers.

If it makes you feel any better, I think this tree may have had some kind of cavity (disease/pest caused?) that made it weak (it didn’t really need a trim that I’m aware of).
The horrible part is that our neighbor had just parked his truck there for ONE second while he ran in the house to grab something he forgot, came out and the tree had fallen on it! Add to that insurance doesn’t like paying out for trees unless the tree’s owner was blatantly negligent (i.e., you’ve called to complain before hand), so chances are his insurance is going to pay for all of it… I’ll never understand insurance companies.
