Sorry for the down time! Hope you guys had a great thanksgiving. I made loads and loads of food, including a ham, sweet potatoes, salad, bread (from scratch!), stuffing (not-so-from-scratch) and a chocolate bundt cake. Let's just say I made up for the Thanksgiving early in our marriage when Josh was forced to make his own meal... a bag of microwave popcorn. Now I'm at home working ...

Remember when I said that it was going to cost a lot to get my tags renewed in Texas? Well I didn't know the HALF of it. Turns out these here Texans charge the wanna-be Texans a "new resident" tax, which comes out to a whopping $100! Add a $41 inspection/emissions test (the equivalent of checking to see if I have any head/tail lights out and charging me ...

So I waited a little too long to take photos of my pumpkins from this Halloween. They're sort of soft and what I imagine a five-day dead person's skin feels like. Mushy. Oh, and stinky! You can really tell on the orange one, which is leaning (and yes, i used woodcutting tools!). Then there's my vampire kitty. She gets so into it!

Is this not the CUTEST THING YOU EVER LAID YOUR EYES ON?? It's even cuter than all those Scholastic posters of kitties and puppies (and horses?) my sister and I used to wallpaper our bedrooms in grade school... did I just admit that? And congratulations to Susan, who called it long ago.
