There’s nothing like relatives for a little holiday cheer.

Josh’s parents were originally going to come to Dallas to see us for Christmas, but they changed their plans to see the grandparents in Virginia because they were asked to come by family members who were in need of support.

Yesterday my in-laws receive an email from Grandpa Moore saying something to the effect of, “In regards to the passages found in [insert a string of fifteen scriptures about not associating with “unbelievers”], I do not feel comfortable hosting the minister of a Christian church in my home. I know you are over 50 years old and are capable of making your own decisions, but I must abstain from what I consider to be wrong in the eyes of God.”

So long story short, I’m having guests again for Christmas because my father-in-law preaches at a church with musical instruments. Personally, I think it’s inSANELY ridiculous to shut out the people who buy you presents—and ultimately have only love to give.

Have any of you ever gone thru a situation like this? If so, you’re welcome to come have Christmas at my house.
