Lurkers come out!

Ok, a good friend and lurker named Bethany emailed me with a superb idea. She reminded me that a few years ago most of us were all doing the same thing. We got up, went to chapel, went to class/walmart/hastings and spent the rest of the time doing homework. Now we’re all doing different things… but what?

Write a comment on this post about what you’ve been up to. Be it mundane or sublime, in short story or bulleted list, just write it down. I want to know what all of you people are up to! (and really, you do, too — right?)

Here’s mine:

1. Christmas surprise of the week: all the air in my right front tire decided to take a holiday of its own. Josh was kind enough to fix it for me, since I had all the changing-of-tires experience I ever wanted in high school.

2. I found one of my Christmas presents! AHHH! Josh is a terrible hider.

3. Received an absolutely lovely basket of goodies from Grandma in the mail… the contents of which included tins filled with sweet homemade fudge!! Plus jam, crackers, cookies, nuts… mmmhmgramalamph…

4. Only one present left to buy!

5. Our Christmas tree from Home Depot, which was pretty sad looking when we got it last weekend, is already dried out and looking quite Charlie Brownish. I so totally wish Josh would let me go artificial.

6. Looking forward to having Jomo, Caron, Mike, Mom, Dad, and Michelle over during the next two weeks!

7. Now I have to go clean.

And it’s your turn!

    Hey, Michelle! Not fair! :)

Ummmm….I’ve been up to sleeping in until 10 or so, going for a jog/walk, depending on the day and whether we have Justin’s parents’ dog Melody with us or not, and just relaxing. We went to see Narnia this week, and we helped Justin’s parents move a ton of boxes in the house from the ABF truck from Houston (they moved to Pocatello). We’ve watched lots of movies, and yesterday I went shopping with my mother-in-law, Erin, for Christmas presents. Today holds much cooking, paper grading, and Christmas movie watching.

  3. I also sleep ’til 10 or so and then walk around my apartment for a while and decide what to do that day. Options are: –boil down all my posessions to two 70 lb bags to take to China ( which sounds like a lot, but it’s really not ), –call my agent guy to see how the paper work for my visa is coming, –find new things to either throw away, give away, donate to goodwill, –call my brother and go to Midnight Oil and drink coffee for 2-4 hours. Wow, that sounds really boring when you write it all down. Merry Christmas!

  4. Merry Christmas, everyone! (No, Nathan, that doesn’t sound boring… I’d love to hang out at MO when all the kids are gone– and I think your future sounds exciting, albeit perhaps a bit scary and unknown.) Happy sleeping in, present-opening and movie-watching!

Well, I went to the Illinois this weekend. Did much just hanging out. Saw my best friend, my sister, some friends from high school, my brother, and hung out with other fam too. I also got to go to Monical’s. I don’t really do a whole lot. B and I have gotten some new DVD’s so we get to watch those. I usually go to school, go home, or go to Andy and Erica’s house or…Old Chicago. On really lucky nights, I get to stay at school until like 8:30 or 9:00 supervising basketball games. At least they pay me for it. B goes to work, goes home, or to A & E’s house or…Old Chicago. When he gets home it’s usually Battlefield 2 or World of Warcraft. On Tuesday nights, he runs a D & D campaign. We try to lead simple lives. :)
