Signs You’re an NPR Geek
1. To you, The Diane Rehm Show theme music is the equivalent to a morning coffee.
2. You stay in your car for longer than normal in the driveway listening to Fresh Air in the evenings.
3. You buy NPR gifts for people who could probably care less.
4. The music you listen to was introduced to you on All Songs Considered (or Fresh Air).
5. You subscribe to All Songs Considered via podcast, feed reader AND email.
6. You own books that you heard about on NPR.
7. You find yourself reading publications promoted on NPR like The Economist.
8. You know more about current events than most people you talk to.
9. This annoys you.
10. You’ve looked up Diane Rehm’s voice condition on Wikipedia.

Wow. I just thought Diane Rehm was, like, 99.

I love NPR. Everything about it. I don’t get it very good here for some reason though, so I have to be content to listen through weird static and occasionally get a glimpse. I suppose it’s better than nothing.

Justin and I are NPR geeks more during the school year when we’re actually in the car on a consistent basis. I do like listening to public radio during the weekends (Garrison Keillor, Car Talk, Says You, This American Life, Whad’ya Know). The one that kills me is “My Music.” It is TOTALLY NOT my music. It is the music of exactly two stodgy British men. Hee. I love public radio.

I think we should put an NPR Addicts Anonymous group together.
