Yo, this is still my blog.
I’ve been quiet for a while, and that’s because stuff’s been going on. I’ve been dealing with my feet… but that’s an entirely different post that I promise you’ll be seeing soon. This weekend I’m planning to unleash the new blog look, which I hope everyone will find more fun–because it has a lot more of Josh and I built right in! Can’t you smell the tasty goodness?
This coming Tuesday I’m meeting up with some old art department friends for lunch, the infamous Godmund and a kid named Jon. I’m excited to see what they’ve been up to in the five short years since I left Harding.
Also… have any of you heard Rilo Kiley? Josh is sweetly not yet annoyed by my repeated playing of this album and singing along. Now I just have to keep from humming it during lunch…
Lastly, since I am the odd ball left-brained artist, here’s my helpful techie tip for the moment: Blog subscription for dummies (aka RSS and Atom feeds). I know how intimidating this is for a lot of you, and I’m definitely included. I started out a long time ago on Bloglines and later switched to Rojo. Long story short, Rojo got incredibly sucky and I wound up going back to Bloglines but never really added all the feeds I had started reading since then. If you’re just starting out, using Bloglines is SUPER EASY. Just follow these easy steps:
1. Cut a hole in the box. I mean, sign up at Bloglines.com. It’s free. Trust me, this is easier than email.
2. Drag a bookmarklet to your web browser bookmarks bar. Pick the one that matches the browser you use here.
3. Visit a site you read all the time (like this one) and click the bookmarklet to add it to your bloglines. After a while you’ll have all your favorite blogs in one place, on the web — so no matter what computer you’re at, you’ve always got blogs.

Yeah, Rojo did get terrible somewhere along the way. So much potential. It was often very slow, though, and a lot of the features they added broke or undid other things people loved about it.
In the meantime, Google Reader got awesome. It works the same way as Gmail in terms of keyboard shortcuts, shared login, etc. I’ve been using it ever since.
I haven’t tried Bloglines in about 4 years, but it’s good to know it still works.
