Shame On You, Internet!

According to ABC News, 62% of those who downloaded Radiohead’s In Rainbows decided to pay zero dollars.

This makes me angry. Perhaps I’m wrong in assuming that those who downloaded the album knew what they were getting into. Why waste the time downloading something you wouldn’t pay for? I’m not some file sharing nazi, but if a band with the pedigree of Radiohead offers something this good for free, and you know a record company is not pillaging all the profits, why even pretend that you like the music you are downloading?

Shame on you Internet! You den of vipers!

Everyone I’ve talked to say they paid. But everyone I talk to says they tip well too. And anyone who’s been a waiter knows that’s crap.

  2. Trent Reznor paid $5,000.

  3. Unfortunately, there are not enough of us left who truly love music and support artists. Most people like to listen to crap, and no amount of lamenting or screaming about it on my part can fix it. They will always be lesser people, in my opinion. It was brave of Radiohead to attempt this. How much did they make from the album..do you know?
