She’s kind of deep, but I kind of like her.
From Geneen Roth’s blog:
I have learned that… when things fall apart on a personal level—when I am at the edge of what I think I can tolerate–it is almost always a harbinger of unimaginable expansion and ultimate benevolence if I am willing to be with the pain of it… If I am willing to pay close attention and keep breathing quietly, rather than spiraling into fear and blame, there will be a blessing, a hard-fought peace.
Kind of reminds me of A New Earth, where Tolle writes, “Only if you resist what happens are you at the mercy of what happens.”
note: I read the post that Geneen’s quote is from in my feed reader, but the original post doesn’t seem to be linkable.

I once told my friend “It only counts if it can beat you. It only counts if you’re afraid.” I wish i knew now the depth of what i was dealing with when i hatched that wit.
might have something more/better to say here.
