Surviving
Ok, this blog has been stuck on bad news for too long. I’m officially taking the reins. Things aren’t SO bad. Josh being laid off means we have been cooking a bit more at home, and that has actually been nice. I think we’ve had spaghetti at least three times in the last week, but the good thing is, I like spaghetti! We also had breaded chicken at least three times, which means… we really need to try more recipes. I’ll be looking to Stacie and Amy for those.
Another sign that things are looking up: freelance! Josh is working with some other people who got laid off with him on a freelance gig, and my agency was able to throw him a bone on a quick ad we need edited this week. I can’t tell you how nerve wracking it is to hear your bosses watching your husband’s reel from the next room, though.
Then there’s Natalie’s wedding to look forward to. I’ll be playing the part of “ye olde matron of honor” – or at least that’s how the word ‘matron’ sounds in my head. I have a pretty green dress, and I expect I’ll be holding purple flowers of some type, helping Natalie and Chris celebrate their big day. It’s gonna be great.
See? Things aren’t so bad.

I’ve got a few great recipes too if you want me to send them your way. We like it simple around here so no recipe is overcomplicated.
