I’m a bit late posting this, but… Whatever!

Whatever, Martha! was hilarious, and as Mr. Eacret let me know on FB, it’s the kind of show that isn’t just for ladies. Josh even watched both episodes with me! And he wasn’t chained to the couch! And he laughed! So I hope that tells you something, men.

I have to say that I wasn’t expecting the sexual innuendo that seeped from Alexis’s mouth, but boy was it hilarious. I mean, Martha is the “creator and executive producer” of this show (I’d like to hear Alexis and Jennifer’s comments on that), and she allowed the following (paraphrased) scene to stay in the show’s premiere:

[The episode titled Painting Porches. Martha is painting her porch with a hideous black and green diagonal pattern. She crawls around on the ground, in SHORTS, with her butt on display.]

Jennifer: I think the highlight of this show was Martha’s legs - for me.
Alexis: What…. you want them wrapped around your waist?

Got that mental picture? Great. You’ll have to watch yourself for the “twine with a hole” segment that was equally mentally disturbing.

My verdict: Whatever, Martha! isn’t going to win any Emmys - but it isn’t really trying to. If you love but hate Martha and her perfectionist personality (as she whittles the perfect smores roasting stick), this show will make you giggle a bit, and remind you that your less-than-perfect ways are perfectly sane.
