Hi. I’m Heather.
Back in 2004, Down in Texas began as a humble blog of mine called Hello Sunshine. It took on different shapes through Blogger, LiveJournal and Movable Type until simplicity was found in a thing called Wordpress. I haven’t looked back. Sometime during 2005 I moved to Dallas and in 2006, my husband, Josh, joined in as co-author.

When I’m not tinkering with the code behind this site, I work as an art director for a small ad agency in Uptown. My other hobbies of-the-moment include creating print gocco greeting cards and watching public television (from the DVR, of course).
