Global Awareness

I heard this today from Steve Nash, talking about his recent charity game in China - "I can relate to people of all different cultures and understand that we all come in the same form or shape with variation. We should have that sensitivity for one another and realize that we're really fortunate for what we're born into...because you could easily be in another man's shoes."

Two weeks later

I'm pulling for my brothers and sisters still living in the frozen north of Detroit. But I can't watch any more basketball this year. The events of May 14th-22nd are still very fresh and raw on my fragile, infantile mind. Tomorrow night I have a ticket to see them perform a similar feat against the supposed best team in the NBA, the Dallas Mavericks. On Friday, they will do it again to the best team in the East, the Detroit Pistons. I'm giddy with how good they ...
